Byrd Leavell

A pressing need for all Blacks and whites to learn to live together in a world of changing ideas, saying that all men are created equal, and really meaning it, but knowing that the situation won’t change overnight, attempting to settle problems without outside pressure, wanting to erase a dividing line, learning a socially acceptable jargon, knowing the difference between colored, Negro, and Black, having faith in others, doing your part in unity.  Byrd Leavell, co-chairman of the Student Relations Committee leads the Saint Paul’s workshop.
