Black students — complained. We complained to various people that were there to kind of support us that this — we just didn’t like this. I mean that was part of this whole desegregation process. It was bigger than a football field. It was larger than that. It had to do with an attitude throughout the entire university that was not tolerable. And other things. There were no social outlets for Black students. There were very few Black faculty. So it was a myriad of things that were there at the forefront that were really challenges for a lot of us Black students.
