High school was a tougher place back in those times, too. People didn’t — I don’t think they really worried about your feelings that much. I mean, our teachers, a lot of them growing up, they had fought in World War II. They were used to getting shot at all day. They weren’t worried too much about a 15-year-old, your personal space and your feelings and that sort of thing. When Daddy said do it, if you didn’t do it quick enough, something’s going to happen. I guess it just wasn’t part of the thought process.
