There were a couple of kids who came to me to talk after school about — there was one teacher in particular that they thought was a racist. And I don’t know whether he was or not. And I told them that. I said, “Regardless, we’ve got to be realistic here about what you can do, what I can do,” and I just advised them to keep a journal, write down things that they thought were offensive, and if he ever crossed the line and did something that really was wrong, then they needed to report it. They had reported him already and said nothing had been done. I said, “Well, if something were done, you wouldn’t know about it. So, you keep on reporting what’s wrong, but also, realize that there are some things that you’re not allowed to know about.”
